Les Ormes is also a great place to play sport all year round, for beginners and experts alike, with a 9- or 18-hole course designed by Antoine d'Ormesson. Set in some sixty hectares, this course combines technique and pleasure, giving you a breath of fresh air in the midst of the trees. Suitable for everyone, the greens are perfect for fun or for a challenge.

A major new project!

For 47 years, Les Ormes has been innovating through ambitious projects to offer its guests new and unique experiences.

So it's only natural that, following the opening of the Dôme in 2019 and its many development projects, the company is announcing its new major project: the construction of a 600 m2 building right in the heart of the site, to offer its customers, holidaymakers and professionals alike, ever-higher quality infrastructures and services.
This new space, erected in the centre of the "village", with its facades inspired by the medieval houses of Dinan and Dol-de-Bretagne, will feature five new areas:

- A grocery shop & boutique area offering a wider range of local products and souvenirs

- A bakery, patisserie and sandwich shop, with round-the-clock service

- A restaurant and lounge bar with terrace, with a capacity of 315 covers per service

- A large 500 m2 modular hall for seminars, cocktail parties, shows, etc. (up to 700 people standing)

- A private rooftop offering uninterrupted views over the estate

For the construction of this building, as was the case for the Dôme, preference was given to local and Breton suppliers and partners.

A quick look back...

In 1860, the de La Chesnais family acquired the estate (formerly the residence of the bishops of Dol-de-Bretagne). This incredible adventure began in 1977, when Yvonnick and Catherine de La Chesnais took the crazy gamble of transforming their farmland into a family campsite with 60 pitches. Thanks to a bank loan, initially intended for the construction of a farm building, they finally decided to finance a sanitary block, enabling them to welcome their first holidaymakers in the summer of 77.

The estate quickly became a flagship destination, winning over the hearts of holidaymakers, especially the English, who made it their favourite annual rendezvous. As the years went by, the de La Chesnais family continued to surprise visitors with their risk-taking and increasingly ambitious ideas : the first outdoor water park in Brittany, the first tree house park in France, the creation of a 4500 m2 water play dome with a wave pool, atypical "Made in Les Ormes" accommodation such as the Camping'Huttes that you won't find anywhere else... A host of innovative developments that make this place unique. Managed since the early 2000s by the 3 children, Arnaud, Séverine and Sonia, Les Ormes, Domaine & Resort has become a major tourist resort in the area, with innovation, employment and tourist appeal. The company continues to grow, and brings with it local values and economic players in its development.

Les Ormes has become more than just a holiday destination: it's a unique place to meet, share, have fun and celebrate in the heart of 200 hectares of nature.
As the years go by, one chapter follows another and the story continues to unfold, telling the beautiful and inspiring adventure of this Breton family.
