Golfystador Week Catalonia 2024: an unforgettable week

Participants had the opportunity to discover or rediscover some prestigious courses: Peralada, Torremirona, Camiral Golf & Wellness (Tour Course), Aro-Mas Nou, Emporda (Links) and Pals, while enjoying choice accommodation at a number of partner establishments in the region.​

The sometimes fickle weather added an extra challenge to an already intense week. A few nights of thunderstorms made playing conditions more technical and led to the banning of buggies on certain courses, forcing the players to show their endurance and resilience. Despite these obstacles, the sporting spirit and determination of the participants maintained the competitive and friendly atmosphere of the event.

Each morning at 10:00, the rounds were shotgunned, using the popular scramble à deux format. Golfers were welcomed at each course with personalised gifts and tasty snacks to encourage them throughout the day. Accuracy competitions and daily prize-giving events, along with prize draws, kept the festive spirit alive and kicking throughout the stay.
Wininone was a partner of Golfystador Week Catalonia with its ‘Permanent Hole-in-One Contest’, installed on more than 35 golf courses in France, Morocco and now on hole 10 at Torremirona. A 3-day stay at the Fairmont Taghazout Bay in Morocco was up for grabs, but unfortunately no-one managed the feat on this hole!

The week ended on a high note with the long-awaited closing evening, when the winners of the three series were honoured at the general prize-giving ceremony.

Well done to the winners of the 1st series: DELCOUR Stéphane & HUIJBERECHTS David, Gross winners with 247 points, and CORT MARTINEZ Fernando & AGUERA Baptiste, Net winners with 266 points.

Congratulations to the winners of the 2nd series: LAURENCERY Sébastien & FAVA Didier, winners in the gross category with 202 points and CHARVIEUX Patrick & GELAIN Olivier, winners in the net category with 272 points.

And well done to the winners of the 3rd series: TRAISSARD Alexandra & Frédéric, winners in the gross category with 176 points and DOREMUS Mathieu & LEVAILLANT Philippe, winners in the net category with 268 points.

Congratulations to the ROUGE group, proud winners of this year's ‘war of the groups’ with the best aggregate score, and to Maria PENHARD, who scored the only hole-in-one of this year's event, on hole 2 of the Torremirona golf course!
The vibrant flamenco show won over the participants, adding a spellbinding, typically Catalan touch to this final night.

Thanks to the expert supervision and management of the Golfy team, every detail was thought through to provide participants with a complete and seamless experience. Despite the unforeseen weather conditions, a spirit of conviviality and team spirit prevailed throughout the week, ensuring the success of this not-to-be-missed event.
The participants left Golfystador Week not only with memories of competition, but also with moments of sharing and friendship, looking forward to the next edition.
